what is the true cause of the osteoarthritis of the knee?
on the cotrary to the popular belief,aging is not the major reason of it.
if so, what causes OA(osteoarthritis of the knee) often?

it may seem relaxing,but this posture will rotate your knee joint, and rotated knee joint makes friction when you walk, and friction will grind knee cartilage.
This is how you develop wear and tear inside of your knee joint and finally occur pain.
many of orthopedists would tell you that age is the major contributer of OA. however, I would hope you to imagine, for example,if you are 70years old now,then both of knees are the same age,but usually OA happens on one side,it means age itself is not a big factor of OA.
one of the big contributer of OA is the rotation of the knee joint.
and also side sleeping causes a crooked knee,just like below
