What is the myofascial pain syndrome?

You people must not be familiar with the word “myofascial pain syndrome”

in simple words,it is a type of isssue of muscle tissues. strictly, it is different from muscle stiffness. and is also called “trigger point”

let’s take a look at below.This is how you develop trigger point(or myofascial pain)

①normal muscle

③trigger point(or myofascial pain)

muscles consisit of some layers, and covered by membrane,it is called fascia.

so,the structure of muscle tissues is kind of like an “ONION”

can you imagine?

in a normal condition,muscle fiber can move smoothly beneath the fascia,but in some special situation muscle fiber will loose its fexibility and gets less range of motion.

it will lead to poor blood circulation inside of muscle, and trigger oxygen shortage,accumulated chemical waste eventually chronich pain.

① stiffness:by muscle tension

② trigger poit(myofascila pain):by oygen shortage,chemical waste

Can you make out the difference between striffness and trigger poit(myofascial pain)
